Ok, so in an effort to be more constructive with my time, I am going to refrain from posting each week's set-list here, and use it solely for occasional worshipful thoughts.
Be sure to check out the Worship Song of the Week each week on my website:
WSOTW
Also, stay connected with news at Eternal Church and Slish.net.
Have a blessed week everyone!
PS...here's another song I'm working on...
I'm hoping to have a Christmas Song for you in December too! :)

Fall on Us
I've been in the writing mood lately, so I've been working on several songs. I've been intrigued by Psalm 116. Verses 12-13 say:
"What shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits to me. I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord."
What an interesting verse! First of all, how could we ever repay the Lord for all the grace and benefits He has poured out on me? Secondly, what in the world does it mean to lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord?
Well, I THINK it has something to do with Christian Hedonism. If you're not sure what I mean, then you should read "Desiring God" by John Piper! :) Christian Hedonism is the idea that we would seek our joy and our pleasure in God and God alone because we know that he alone is able to satisfy our deepest longings and needs. ...as we seek our joy in Him, God is MOST glorified. It's the idea that God is more glorified when we worship him out of delight as opposed to duty.
I won't go into Pipers analogy of giving his wife flowers...but again, you should read that book if you haven't!!!
...so, Question: What shall we render to the Lord for all His benefits to us?
Answer: We will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord.
We have been bought and ransomed by the precious blood of Christ. His blood has purchased the freedom of the condemned men and sinners that we are. We were hopeless without him, but now we have hope. We have sipped from the cup of salvation! The Lord has given us this drink and we have tasted of it's goodness!
Our response to all his benefits and grace working in our lives is to lift up that cup and call on the Lord for more! ...what a strange form of repayment. The Lord pours out his blessings and goodness to us, and the way we repay him is to lift up our cup like young children and beg for more? ...strange form of rendering, but not a strange response at all.
What could we repay the Lord with? Really, there is nothing that we could give except for our praise and honor of Him. How much does it magnify the name of the Lord if we say to him that ONLY HE can fill our cup and satisfy us and give us ultimate joy. We are saying that we desire him and need him above anything else this world has to offer.
This is what we render to the Lord for all his benefits! We go back to him and ask Him for more, knowing that it's the only place where we can find what our soul really needs!
Praise God! Lift up the cup of salvation to Him today!
Here is a recent song...and Sunday's set-list:
